Meet the Team

Albert works in our equipment service and has a contagious personality and is always happy to help with a smile on his face.  Albert will come to your home to deliver or collect your equipment.  He will install or disassemble the equipment, and always be respectful of your needs.  Albert meets many people with many care needs during the day and cares deeply about providing a high quality service to improve a person’s life.

Jag has been qualified as an Occupational Therapist for 15 years working in both health and social care settings and currently works in Enabled Living’s wheelchair service. Jag’s warm and approachable personality welcomes all clients with the same friendly smile. Jag works with both with adults and children. You will either meet Jag in our wheelchair clinic or she may visit you at home or school. Jag knows the importance and consequences of providing the correct seating and wheelchair for an individual. Allowing freedom and independence, as well as helping to manage the effects of medical conditions. Any appointment with Jag will include a chat about your needs and a postural assessment to determine what you will require.

Chaune is one of our friendly Senior Customer Service Advisors at our Alpine Way office. Chaune arranges community equipment to be delivered or collected across the whole of Newham. Chaune will call you and arrange a suitable time for our Driver Technicians to visit your home to deliver or collect your equipment.

Janet is our friendly and helpful Information and Assessment Officer who works in our Sensory Team.  If you are having problems with moving around your home and have been referred to Enabled Living, Janet will contact you to visit our Lounge at Chargeable Lane.  She can also come and visit you at home.  During your appointment Janet will ask you about your home and your daily routine.  Janet will demonstrate equipment that can help you in your home.  Janet also works with customers with sensory needs and does long cane training to get you out into the community and helps plan your routes.

Gwen is an Occupational Therapist here at Enabled Living Healthcare, specializing in supporting children aged 0-18 years, whose conditions affect their daily functioning and independence. Gwen conducts assessments in the child’s home environment with a warm, respectful, and caring approach, always ensuring she listens to the needs of both the child and their family. She provides thoughtful guidance to parents and caregivers on managing the child’s daily activities, offering practical solutions. Gwen takes the time to understand each family’s unique situation, creating a supportive and trusting relationship that makes parents and caregivers feel comfortable and empowered in caring for their child.
Gwen can provide equipment to assist children with everyday tasks, such as toileting aids, bathing equipment and shower chairs. She also completes moving and handling assessments and gives advice to parents/care givers on techniques, and if needed, supplies hoists and slings, and develops personalized plans to meet the child's specific needs. Additionally, Gwen provides recommendations for both minor adaptations (e.g. grab rails, stair rails, door widening, and safety measures) and major adaptations (e.g. stair lifts, through-floor lifts, ramps, level access showers, or repurposing existing rooms).

Sandra is a qualified Social Worker and works in the Sensory Team.  Sandra has worked in Newham for over 15 years, and is passionate about helping people and making sure people have what they need to continue to live independently.  Sandra is qualified in BSL level 2 and supports people who are hard of hearing and Deaf, and also holds a Deafblind qualification.  Sandra also co-works with the Audiology Department.  During your appointment Sandra will explore with you the difficulties you may be having with your hearing and may show you equipment that can support you at home and in the community.
